Jeoffrey Owen I can only hope to see this band play live one day. I found this a little late after its release. It doesn't stick to one genre but excels at all of them. It effortlessly transitions and flows between styles melding them making each song uniquely their own. There in no weak songs and this release is solid from top to bottom. Each song is highly enjoyable and even after repeated listens doesn't get boring, with plenty to still discover and enjoy. Still sounds fresh for being released about a year and a half ago. I can only hope there is more to come from these guys. Super talented worth the price to add to your collection. Favorite track: Aquamarine.

Joshua Reid Something about this wonderful album evokes the image of people with full hearts roaming through empty spaces. Listening to it makes me feel like the ghost of a pretty thing. Highest reccomendation. Favorite track: Chronic.

Nicholas Garcia withershins are big and beautiful, and 'mt fuji' really puts that model into good practice. as someone who's wrestled with the "do i write gorgeous music or do i write loud music" dichotomy, this kind of record is infuriatingly good. it runs deep and dense, but it's warm and personal too- or that's how it feels to me. so many songs on this record run far in excess of five minutes but they float by as though they're three-minute pop songs. it's a record worth owning and definitely worth sharing. Favorite track: An Amateur Chemist.
